Hello. i too have made regular use of the incline - training. One thing that i think would help with the erosion concerns is this: When you acsend up the incline you can help preserve the incline by NOT descending it - this is because as one should know greater forces occur in the footstep when stepping down than when stepping up. The foot strike on a rail tread some 10" to 18" is very hard to control thus the impact of one's body weight tears up the delicate granite gravel ground enhancing the erosion issues, futher more, accidents, misshaps are much more likely to occur when descending the incline. i for one like to suggest that everyone using the incline to decsend via the Barr trail which is accessable from the top of the incline, in fact one could even add on to their work out with some additional distance via the trail, this i find to be plesant & awarding with the benifits of additions to one's effort, also this is a good way to sort of cool down after grunting up the incline. Please consider this next time you are up there.
