Sent: Saturday, February 28, 1998 3:59 PM Subject: Long Run #15 Reminder Well I guess I needed a reminder to send out the reminder. Sorry about that! So here, on short notice, is the reminder --> Tomorrow, Sunday, March 1, 8:00am, The Ute Loop. Sunday long runs are a constant! If ever you do not get a reminder that most likely means I fell asleep and did not put one out. As the snow melts we will move them to Elk Park but that is a long time off or so it appears and you will get plenty of notice:-) Well I got to thinking about that back flip that the French skater pulled off at the Olympics only to get slammed by the judges because it was illegal. So with that in mind here are 3 more things to make running a better spectator sport. 3) A kiss and cry area at the finish line 2) After a race the winners get to do a little exhibition run 1) Should be illegal for any runner to run a sub X minute mile You can fill in your own number for the X. The slower the pace the more bunched up the race would get and then we could have some really cool/strange finishes. Oh yes, it turns out that Robert Ronas, whom is on the Club Mailing list, had beaten Kevin A to the punch to be the first to finish the Cross off Six Letters game... Sorry Robert too bad Kevin. But Kevin you will get a consolation gift tomorrow;-) Still waiting on the CORRECT answer from Matt V... Go out hard, when it hurts speed up... Matt Carpenter http://www.skyrunner.com
