Hi all,

After talking with some of the long-time club members this Sunday after the
run we have decided that with the switch to daylight savings time it is now
time to start up the Thursday workouts.

This Thursday the 9th at 5:30pm we will do a 30 minute tempo run from Hydro
Street up the Barr Trail to wherever you get.

The following Thursday the workout will be our namesake — the INCLINE! Not
sure what we will do for handicaps on the first one but we might just add 5
minutes to everyone’s best time and let it go at that. Or we may just do a
group start on the first one. Also this year we will only be timing
handicaps up to 35 minutes. Looking at last year’s results this should not
present a problem for anyone currently in the club. This will allow faster
runners who show up at 5:30 to start running within 15 minutes — a nice
little warm-up. This does NOT mean that even slower runners can not run!!!
They will just start at the 35 minute handicap and have to improve.

The 3rd Thursday we will again be at Hydro Street and will run 1 minute
hard, 1 minute easy for 30 minutes up the Barr Trail to wherever you get.

We will then start the cycle over again repeating the 3 workouts. Please be
at workouts warmed up READY TO GO AT 5:30!!!! The exception of course is the
Incline run itself if you are a faster runner you can warm-up while the
slower runners are starting.

Also, starting the 17th the COG railway is supposed to start up again so
PLEASE DO NOT park in their spaces starting on that day. Park farther down
on Ruxton or in the Barr Trail trail head.

If you have any ?s read the Incline Club FAQ on my site or talk to me AFTER
the run Thursday.

Go out hard, when it hurts speed up...
