Sent: Monday, July 06, 1998 8:46 PM Subject: Incline V2 TH #14 LR #34 This Thursday the 9th is 30 minutes of 1 on, 1 off, from Hydro Street up the Barr Trail. Meet at the fountain at 5:30pm. This Sunday the 12th is another Elk Park run. Meet at the toll booth at 7am. ************ Those that went on the Elk Park run got beat by a tree! We tried to move it off the trail but the roots were still too far in the ground. Oh well — next time I stay at Barr Camp I will get the saw! *********** I know of a couple of club members who had races over the weekend: Yvonne Franceschini took first place in the Ourayce — a 10K in Ouray, Colorado — her first race win ever! Paul DeWitt took the #1 spot at the Fort Carson 5K. Congrats to both. If club members keep this up we will have to get our own racing jersey like a certain other group in town;-) *********** On that note, now that the Incline Club pins are pretty much gone I would like some feedback on what to do for club members — new and old alike. A couple of options I can think of are 1) order more pins (they would be different — the others are now history) 2) Get some custom Incline club T-shirts made up 3) Get some custom racing garb made up. On #2 or #3 we will need ideals/submissions for art but would think that it would be something related to the Incline. I am out of here for a bit but please send your thoughts my way and I will parse through them when I get back. Don’t get too crazy — any costs involved will be passed on to the club. NO this is not some money making scheme on my part but turning this club into a money losing deal to me is also not an option. Whatever we decide on will be sold “at cost.” However don’t be afraid to cast your vote as “don’t need nothing, keep the club free” and/or “that’s cool but make it an option not a requirement.” *********** Congrats to Thom S who now has a new baby boy to teach how to run up the Incline:-) *********** I will see you all next Thursday. If someone (Rick & Robert you two have been awesome) will take names I will update the club page when I get back from yet another race --> help --> I am falling off the club leader boards and I can’t catch up! ************ Go out hard, when it hurts speed up...
