Sent: Thursday, August 13, 1998 1:34 PM Subject: A story I found Hi all, Since the Pikes Peak races will keep us from having a club run Sunday I thought I would send out a bonus club e-mail to make up for it:-) I found a neat story on the net today. Actually it was a talk but I thought it was very profound you may not. I recommend that you print it out for several reasons: 1) The background is very distracting 2) I do not think that this story can be skimmed in a few moments A couple of teaser lines: Why am I doing this? I dont have to be doing this. Its not written in the stars that I have to be climbing this stupid mountain like this. The static perfection of Utopia would be stifling. There would be no mountain element, no climbing of Pikes Peak, no problems to solve, maybe some sensual pleasure but no joy http://www.jps.net/cryonics/ctopia.htm Enjoy! Go out hard, when it hurts speed up... Matt Carpenter http://www.skyrunner.com
