The point-to-point Rim Rock courses takes runners through western Colorados high desert country, into redrock canyons, onto majestic mesas and past towering rock monoliths. The field is limited to 350 runners and was one-fifth full by August 20. To access an entry form, visit the race Web site at http://www.iti2.net/~rreece/rimrockrun or send SASE to Rim Rock Run, P.O. Box 3685, Grand Junction, CO 81502. For more information, call (970) 243-4055. ************* >From Tim Allison: A George Dallam posted something at the Y for multi-sport athletes. They are doing a study on a training method to improve running efficiency for sub-elite athletes. I cant truly claim to be a multi-sport athlete yet, but I am giving serious thought to triatholoning, so maybe I would qualify. The study includes efficiency analysis and lots of good stuff. It would require a lot of time, but also a $100 stipend. His number is 448-0620. His e-mail is (e-mail address removed for www posting). **************** Go out hard, when it hurts speed up...
