Last Thursday, 16 of us showed up for a “social” run. It was fun and
well --> social. We may have more of these in the future because it was fun
to just go for a run and shoot the sh__.

Looks like I only missed about 4 people who ran in the peak. All club
members (and some who are just on the mailing list) who ran the peak should
be listed on the Incline Club page of my site.
http://www.skyrunner.com/incline.htm Again way to go to all of you!!! Only
360 days 17 hours and 40 mins until the next Pikes Peak Marathon!

>From Timothy Edwards:

I’m looking for someone with Thursdays / Fridays available who would
accompany me to run up other Colorado fourteeners. I LOVE Pike’s PEAK and
will continue to workout there but I also want to experience some additional
14’ers before this winter. Timothy Edwards -->

>From Jay Engel:

News of its demise have been greatly exaggerated, and the Rim Rock Run — a
stunningly beautiful 37-K trek through Colorado National Monument — is
approved and prepared to go on November 14. The point-to-point Rim Rock
courses takes runners through western Colorado’s high desert country, into
redrock canyons, onto majestic mesas and past towering rock monoliths. The
field is limited to 350 runners and was one-fifth full by August 20. To
access an entry form, visit the race Web site at
http://www.iti2.net/~rreece/rimrockrun or send SASE to Rim Rock Run, P.O. Box 3685,
Grand Junction, CO 81502. For more information, call (970) 243-4055.

>From Tim Allison:

A George Dallam posted something at the Y for multi-sport athletes. They are
doing a study on a training method to improve running efficiency for
sub-elite athletes. I can’t truly claim to be a multi-sport athlete yet, but
I am giving serious thought to “triatholoning,” so maybe I would qualify.
The study includes efficiency analysis and lots of good stuff. It would
require a lot of time, but also a $100 stipend. His number is 448-0620. His
e-mail is (e-mail address removed for www posting).
