Incline Club V3 LR #3

Subject: Incline Club V3 LR #3

This Sunday, December the 13th, is the Ute Indian Trail/Waldo Canyon
lollipop loop. Meet in the COG parking lot and be warmed up and ready to
start at 8 a.m. We had a few people show a little late and they learned the
hard way --> we leave at 8 a.m. SHARP!!!

****
We set a new club record last week when we had four dogs on one run! We also
had 17 people show which is pretty darn good for a day that had a high of 24
degrees!!

****
For those that need another excuse to start coming out and freezing your
butts off: We have started a new tradition of meeting for breakfast after
the long run. It is a great way to get to know more about a person than how
they sound when hypoxia sets in. You can get three killer pancakes for $2.95
and they don’t seem to mind that we mostly drink water with no ice. Added
bonus for the guys: The gals often leave lots of leftover food on their
plates:-P All are invited so stick a couple of dollar bills in your water
bottle holder.

Incline Club X-Mas party update:
Larry reports that over a dozen people have RSVPd and it is still over a
week away! This is going to be fun and I can’t wait to see some of the crazy
gifts people come up with:-)

The info again:
On Saturday, December 19th from 6-9 p.m. there will be a club X-Mas party at
Larry Miller’s house. 2810 Shady Drive — the house with all the lights on
it!!! Each person should bring a Mexican food dish for the potluck dinner
and one “fun” gift valued at $5 or less for the goofy gift exchange.

RSVP Larry at 590-7086 or (e-mail address removed for www posting)

Speaking of X-Mas:
Need a gift for someone or a gift for yourself?
How about a new heart rate monitor? A friend of club member Tim Allison is a
rep for Polar. He can get any Polar product for 25% off! Contact him
directly: Bill Lhotta (e-mail address removed for www posting)

Well, well well. I leave town for a few weeks back in October and some of
you decide to go and talk to Runner’s World!!! Well I thank you and it is an
honor to win the Golden Shoe Award. You all are the greatest and it means a
lot to me that you did this. However it is not totally without self interest
why the club got put together — you guys push me to work harder and for
that I will always be grateful. I get psyced when you get psyched. I get
motivated when you get motivated. You keep my running — which has become a
bit like a job — fun for me! Keep looking for new people and we will keep
getting bigger, better and funner. But have no fear, I will track down those
responsible for this and they will be running the Waldo loop twice —
barefoot:-O

Go out hard, when it hurts speed up...
