Larry Miller’s house. 2810 Shady Drive — the house with all the lights on
it!!! Each person should bring a Mexican food dish for the potluck dinner

This Sunday, December 20th, will be long run #4.
Meet by the Incline and be warmed up for an 8 a.m. start.

This is the Ute/Longs Ranch Road/Barr Trail/Water Pipe Bridge figure 8 run
that we did two weeks ago. A description can be found on the Incline Club
page and a map can be found here: http://www.skyrunner.com/maps.htm
We meet for breakfast after the run:-)

************

We blitzed 3 club records last Sunday!!! 35 people and 6 dogs broke the old
records of 26 people and 4 dogs. We also had 14 people come to the breakfast
afterward — two showed up right when the rest of us were finishing:-( They
were late because they were on time — at the wrong restaurant holding spots
for the 12 people who were at the correct restaurant stuffing their faces:-)
oooops!!!!

At breakfast Glenn A said the Broncos were going to win. I think he should
stick to being a pool shark:-)

Congrats to Thom S who now has a new baby boy to teach how to run up the

Well for those that don’t know things went downhill rather fast for Thom’s
wife about 2 weeks later and she has just recently returned home from the
hospital. She had a brain aneurysm and then 2 strokes that to be
quite frank nearly killed her. Here is an update passed on from Pat
Lockhart:

########### Start letter from Pat

Benita was released from the hospital on Saturday, December 5th. The
ambulance and the change of environment were scary for her, but she is
adjusting. Benita’s sister, Sylvia, and her 2 children (4 and 5) have moved
from Cheyenne and is living with Thom and taking care of Benita, along with
home health care persons, who show on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Benita is moving about... as Thom says “she is walking with a purpose.” She
still needs assistance, but she is up and going and NOT at a snail’s pace.
Thom said that it almost takes 2 people to take care of her.

So what can we do? Thom said that on the days that there is extra help
at the house, they do the laundry and fix meals. On the weekend, they fend
for themselves. He said that if there were people out there that wanted
to help they could use already prepared meals on Fridays, Saturdays,
Sundays, and Mondays. I said that I think that I can do that. I figured
that if we were able to get 20 people, to fix a good meal once a month, that
we could get him pretty well covered. I am asking if any of you can assist,
please let me know and I have a master calendar and hypothetically, you
would fix a meal and deliver it to Thom on say the 2nd Saturday of each
month, or on the 4th Monday of each month. The count for a meal — 2
adults, 4 kids and Josh (5 mos). Can you help?

Also, I will be helping by doing their laundry every other Saturday. Is
there anyone who would like to “halfsies” with me or pick up the other
Saturday.

There are still going to be a lot of challenges for everyone, but maybe we
can make the burden just a little less.

Happy Holidays and thank you

End letter from Pat ###########

Pat would like to get 3 month commitments for her calendar so that works out
to 3 meals from each person. This would start the 1st Saturday in January
because Thom’s church is helping through the holidays. If you feel you would
want to do this please let Pat know what day you prefer and what kind of
meal you would prepare so that she can avoid a lot of the same meals on
consecutive days. Contact Pat via e-mail at (e-mail address removed for www posting).

Hope to see you all Saturday AND Sunday:-)

Go out hard, when it hurts speed up...
