This Sunday, March 21st at 8 a.m. meet by the Incline.
Head out the Ute Indian Trail and then do the Waldo loop. Then continue UP
Longs Ranch Road until you meet up with the Barr Trail at No Name Ice Creek.
Then head UP the Barr Trail for about 100 meters and turn left and head out
to the water pipe bridge. Do not cross the bridge but head UP the road until
it turns into a narrow trail. This will connect back into the Barr Trail.
Run down the Barr Trail back to the parking area. 3 to 4 hours depending on

Coming up in April, after the switch to daylight savings time, we will be
starting Thursday club runs. We have been building a great base and judging
by some of the runs above it is paying off. Now that we are fit it is time
for us to work on getting fast. Remember, smart runners start by getting fit
and THEN they work on getting fast.

www post:
3/14/99 Our second largest group — 33 bipeds and 4 quadpeds — ran up
towards Barr Camp. Summer was back and lots of people spent the first
several switchbacks shedding layers of clothing. Although there were a few
icy spots on the Barr Trail the were crunchy and offered decent traction.
Many people did slightly shorter runs due to yesterday’s St. Patrick’s Day
5K. I will work on a list but suffice as to say as the Incline Club made a
strong showing:-)

Club records:
# of dogs on a run: 6
# of people to show for breakfast: 15
# of people on the Incline: 23
# of long runs in a row — Glen Ash: 24
# of people on a Thursday: 27
# of people at a party: 30
# of people on a Sunday: 35
# of members in a race — Pikes Peak A & M: 44
# on e-mailing list: 115
