Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 1999 10:24 AM Subject: Incline Club V3 TH #19 LR #38 Note the changes to the upcoming workouts! Thursday we will start at the race start line. Sunday is from the top! Both workouts are at your race pace NOT faster so therefore they should NOT leave you tired! These workouts are both designed to be mental workouts to help you relax on race day! Running with a large group Thursday will be great practice and will help you overcome going out too hard on race day. Sunday will let you get your footsteps down one more time so that on race day when you cant think they come naturally! Thursday, August 12, 5:30 p.m. park near the start line for the Pikes Peak races. Run at race pace from Memorial Park to No Name Creek up the Barr Trail. Run back down the Barr Trail and then do four to six Hydro Street hill repeats. Sunday, August 15, 7 a.m. meet at the toll booth on the Pikes Peak Highway. After getting through the toll booth park cars and car pool to the top. Run 1 or 2 or even 3 miles down and then back up at race pace. #### Thanks to the many of you who sent letters for Carl. They were delivered yesterday (Tuesday). Carl has been moved to the Pikes Peak Hospice at 825 E Pikes Peak. Visiting hours are until 8:30p.m. Also, and again, feel to e-mail me anything you wish taken to him. #### For a long time now I have been working on a Pikes Peak library. http://www.skyrunner.com/story/pp_books.htm. Please let me know if you think I have overlooked something especially in the running section! #### Garry Hellenga writes: My company is looking to sponsor a 10-member team to run the Colorado Relay from Idaho Springs to Glenwood Springs on September 17-18. Presently, we are short a few runners, and would like to know if anyone in the Incline Club is interested in participating. It would involve running 3 legs, each averaging about 5.5 miles. You can get more info about the relay at http://www.coloradorelay.com. Since our company is putting up the $500 entry fee, interested company employees will get priority for being on the team. This means that we will probably not be very competitive. Also, please note that the event starts at 7 AM on the 17th, which is a FRIDAY morning. Anyone who is interested can contact me at (e-mail address removed for www posting), or call me at home at (719) 260-6380. #### Bonnie Moeder is also looking for females for the above mentioned relay or at least she was: (e-mail address removed for www posting) #### Party Central --- 1 of 2 Incline Club PPPPP!!!
