Sent: Thursday, September 02, 1999 10:39 AM Subject: Off Season Plans The past couple of years have shown that after Pikes a lot of runners go into hibernation:-) This is a good thing because the body and mind need a rest after 9 months of hard training. Besides, with the awesome showing the Incline Club had at Pikes you deserve a rest!!! Now through the end of September we will meet on Thursdays at 5:30 at Spring Street for the Incline. These will be low key group runs (no formal roll call etc.) but if anyone sets a PR you will be credited. There will be no official Sunday runs but those wishing to meet can meet at Spring Street at 8 a.m. Mix up the runs and keep it fun if a group of you wish to do something special just let me know and I will pass it on to the club. We will start the whole process over again in November! Try to maintain fitness by running at least a couple times a week so that when November rolls around you will be ready;-) **** Incline Club member Cate Terwilliger had a long piece on Pikes in the Denver Post. If you missed it you can check it out here: http://www.denverpost.com/life/peak0829.htm **** Someone left a pair of silver tongs at Linda and Roberts house after the Incline Club party.
