Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 1999 12:13 PM Subject: Off Season #2 Hi everybody, Hope you are getting recovered from the long season we had. Or, if you are gearing up for a fall marathon all is going well! #### This Thursday the 23rd, Joe Kania is doing a college class project. He is making a documentary on the Incline its past and present uses. He would love it if a bunch of us could get together at our regular 5:30pm time and head up the thing so he could film us (video not still). He will have one camera person at the top and one at the bottom. Please try to see if you can work this one into your schedule. #### Congrats to Kevin B and Matt S who both have set Incline PRs since we started doing them every Thursday. #### As a follow-up to the peak races, let me know if you did not get at least 30 stories from fellow Incline Club members. I sent out 3 mailings with 10 stories each. I know I learned a lot from these stories and I am sure you will too. Also check the Incline Club page to see if I got you listed as doing either the Ascent, Marathon or both. I found 51 people but am sure I missed a few. #### I took part in the Colorado Relay (as did club members Bonnie M, Linda R and Gary H and perhaps a few more) this weekend. It was a blast! Next year I think the Incline Club should put together a team if not a couple of teams!!! #### I do not know if any of you follow the 14ers record but the record just got broken! Andrew Hamilton did all 54 14ers in 13 Days 22 hrs 48 minutes! Andrew beat the old record by 1hr and 28 minutes last Saturday (or perhaps 2 Saturdays now). You can read the day by day blow here: http://www.thedavisatdallas.com/14ers/ #### Lastly, the training plan as of now is to do like last year and start back up in late November. Watch for future off season mailings! In the meantime can someone give me an estimate to how many have been showing the last couple of Thursdays and if any have been doing Sundays. Thanks Go out hard, when it hurts speed up... Matt Carpenter www.skyrunner.com
