Subject: Running club auction...
First, excuse the intrusion as I know that Connilee just sent out a club
newsletter. On that note, I for one think she is doing awesome! Indeed,
she has already sent out 26 newsletters in a row and last year I only sent
out 14 total!!! Thank you Connilee:-)
At any rate, a running club down by my Alma Mater (University of Southern
Mississippi) is auctioning off a few items and the book “Marathon and
Beyond” with me on the cover is one of them.

So, to the point...
I admit I have my pride! I can take it that a poster with a bunch of
football players on it is kicking my book’s butt! Further, is is pretty
cool that I am kicking Khannouchi’s tail as his book has yet to get a bid.
But I want to be the top runner in this auction! Currently I am only $5
behind so if someone, anyone, out there has a heart please help me out. It
would be soooo embarrassing if I had to bid on my own book!!!
Thanks and I will try to take all personal insults like an adult as I am
sure this blatant solicitation will garner a few;-) Not to mention how
embarrassing it will be if the auction amount for the book doesn’t move:-(
