On August 19th while coming home from work at Schriever AFB, by another
vehicle heading East on Hy Way 94. Due to some whiplash injuries I had to
pull out of the Ascent this week, I am healing pretty good but not enough
to train for the Ascent.
I will be cheering on the Incliners on their attempts to set their PR’s,
and I may be at the top of the Peak Helping out handing out the shirts,
I just would like you to pass on to the incliner competing on the 19th and
20th to go out and run hard, and never take their ability to train or run
a race for granted.

8/13/2006 Sun: 42 found their way to the sign-in sheet today. But it
looked like a lot more were out there. It was an easy run from the
summit today down to either the 1 or 2 mile mark and back to the top.
Then the REAL work began-trail maintenance on our adopted top mile. A
massive effort including rock bars and a car jack helped clear up some
major issues. The large traverse over from the Cirque got some much
needed improvements.
8/10/2006 Thur: 49 showed for a taper run. Instead of the usual 30
mins of 1 min hard, 1 min easy we did 20 mins and only 5 Hydros:-)
We are almost done!!!
