The * boards have been wiped clean and once again EVERYONE is a virtual
ICer! Please remember that only those who have run with the club at least once in any previous year can begin their season with an R report. Otherwise, everyone who ever ran a race could get on the boards...

Words of Wisdom from Matt
As far as “words of wisdom” from our “fearless leader” as we head into
the new season? (a request from Connilee) Well, I can only say that I am often asked how I can continue to run at the level I do year after year. It is pretty simple really in that year after year I am out hitting the trails with the very training runs we are about to embark on. These are serious training runs for serious runners! Note, I did not say fast runners because it is true the club has, and welcomes, runners of all abilities. But these runs are not your average club runs (indeed, they are harder than most races) and I for one do not view them as social runs or even group runs. There are (thankfully) other groups/clubs that fill that need. However, it is my hope that because of the number of runners doing the IC runs the odds of you having someone to train with (and push you) will be fairly high. But for me, it is just knowing that there are a whole bunch of you who also take
your running very serious that is enough to get me out the door. And it is getting out the door while our competition is in hibernation that wins the rewards come next summer! See you Sunday:-) Matt

Incline Club Shirts
Already a couple of inquiries about Incline Club shirts this year! There is no ‘current’ shirt order in the works but any news of an order will be published if/when/as soon as I get word! I need a new shirt or two, as well! :*)

Dr. Rocket?
I’ve had a request or two for a regular Dr. Rocket column. If you have a question for Dr. Rocket, send it on in and hopefully he’ll respond as long as he’s not on a secret space mission. (Dr. Rocket, you have many fans!)

SUNDAY RUN!
Don’t forget, our first run of our eleventh season is THIS SUNDAY! Show up at MANITOU SPRINGS’ Memorial Park for a run up Ute Valley Pass to Waldo and back.

Sunday, Nov. 26, 8:00am — Memorial Park
It is time to start our 11th season!!! Run out the UPT and take a right and head over to do the Waldo Canyon loop in the clockwise direction. Return via the UPT. 2-3 hours, if it would be longer do an out/back.
Sunday, Dec. 3, 8:00am — Memorial Park
Head out the Ute Pass Trail until it intersects Longs Ranch Road. Take TWO lefts and head UP Longs Ranch Road. Try to smile when you hit Poppa Bear Hill;-) Connect back into the Barr Trail at No Name Creek and run back down to Memorial Park. Take the J Pipe trail before the top of LRR for a shorter run.
