Is anyone else watching the patches of snow up top dwindle away from afar? It’s time to hit the summit this weekend and see them shrink in person!

Thursday, June 28, 5:45pm — Hydro Street
Warm up from Memorial Park in time to get to Hydro Street. Do 30 minutes of 1 min hard, 1 min easy up the Barr Trail. Run easy back down the Barr Trail do 8 Hydro Street hill repeats.
Sunday, July 1, 8:00am — Memorial Park
Summit from the bottom or from Elk Park. Either way there is not enough snow to stay away!

More on Google Earth and Pikes Peak
Thanks to William for posting to the newsletter last week about the Google Earth image update for the summit of Pikes Peak. Personally, I liked the non snow image better even with the clouds.
At any rate, I have updated the 3D Google Earth course tour for the EAS Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon on the course page
(http://www.pikespeakmarathon.org/course.htm) to reflect the change. From Barr Camp up had to be tweaked quite a bit because the angle that the image was taken from caused the summit house to “move” about 200 yards to the east.
Now, if they would only make the streets in Manitou Springs line up with the images!
