Subject: Incline Club News V11: Club Party Info!
Howdy Incline Club,
What a great weekend it was, huh? Kudos to all the runners who took on the Challenge of he Peak, and a huge thanks to the many many race volunteers and race committee who really raised the bar for these races this year. Well done!
Let’s celebrate the end of our hard summer’s work, eat some good grub, laugh a lot, and of course retell or race stories at the IC Party this Thursday.
Here’s the scoop:
What:
11th annual Incline Club party
When:
Thursday, August 23, 5:45pm — Mansions Park!!! Mansions Park is
behind Manitou City Hall or next to Memorial park where we normally meet for our runs.
Why:
*** Club awards to those who made 45 or more workouts. Again, make sure
your *s, Rs and what not’s are up to date!!! Matt is seeking input for the driven award(s) for the year — send feedback to (e-mail removed to prevent spam)
*** Food & Drink — enough to make you need to go for a run!
*** Perhaps a food challenge or game or 2, or 3
*** Hanging out and telling Pikes Peak and Leadville war stories
What to bring:
*** A few bucks for Pizza — should be only about $3-$4.
*** If your *last* name is in the A-H range bring dessert; ice cream,
brownies, cookies, etc. If your *last* name is in the I-P range bring
something to drink; softdrinks, juices, etc. (no beer allowed in park -
sorry). If your *last* name is in the Q-Z range bring something to snack
on; chips, pretzels, etc.
*** You may also want to bring a chair to sit on.
Who can come:
Family (kids too) and friends are welcome but no pets please. As always, don’t feel you can’t come just because you did not make a club run or only made a few. If you are getting this e-mail you are an ICer:-)
