2000-present: Colorado Springs. Love the mountains, the climate, the people, everything. Why didn't I discover this place sooner?
When I started running and what got me started:
Ran as a child in many road races. Quit in high school and college, probably due to the beer intake. Moved to Colorado, fell in love with the trails, and started running on them.
What does running mean to me:
It's an awesome escape from normal 9-5 life, gets me in great shape, and gives me a huge sense of accomplishment.

Completed Pikes Peak Ascent in '05, first attempt. That's all I really wanted to do. I see that mountain out my window every day, and now I can say I ran up it.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
It's running away from the cars, the pavement, and the fumes. There's something different around every corner.
Favorite running trail and why:
Waldo Canyon - Great challenging loop. Palmer Park - Practically my back yard.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Pikes Peak Ascent - Only one I've done.
Best running experience:
Finishing the Ascent in a lightning storm and blizzard. How often do you get to do that in August?
Worst running experience:
Same experience.
Neatest thing found on a run:
A finish line.
Running related bathroom stop story:
Unfortunately, nothing yet. Probably in the works.
Running pet peeves:
Trail runners, bikers with headphones who can't hear you coming.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I pick a mean banjo.
Other hobbies and interests:
Mountain biking, music, backpacking.
