Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
Colorado, Papua New Guniea, Colorado, North Carolina, and Colorado (in that order!)

When I started running and what got me started:
December 2005- I couldn't run 15 minutes without a walk break. I was trying to loose weight and just get in shape. Last year I ran the GOG 10M for the first time and hiked the Peak, never having been to the top (even driving) after living here 20 years!

What does running mean to me:
I LOVE to run. It was always a sport that seemed so unattainable for me, but now I love each new challenge and competing against myself, to get better. I also love meeting new people.

Running accomplishments:
Winter series 2006, Garden of the Gods 10 mile, Palmer Lake 4M 2006, Hiking the Peak in 2006.

This year.... The Triple Crown and the Marine Corps Marathon, hopefully!

What I like about trail/mountain running:
Getting out side, being active, the feeling of accomplishment at the end. Being able to undertake something a lot of other people won't attempt.

Favorite running trail and why:
Garden of the Gods.... the name says it all, but maybe Garden of God might be better.

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
????? This year will be my first.

Best running experience:
Crossing the finish line of my first ever race last February. A 5M race with a starting temp of 14 degrees!

Worst running experience:
I don't know yet.... so far so good.

Neatest thing found on a run:
A snake that crawled across my path at the '06 Land Rover Muddy Buddy

Running related bathroom stop story:
None yet... I hold it to the end or try.

Running pet peeves:
None that I know of, I just love being outside.

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I love to read and I don't see myself as physically fit. I think I will always be an over weight person inside a thinner body.

Other hobbies and interests:
Reading, Cooking, Family, Church, Scrapbooking, Re-designing every restaurant, doctor's office, hospital, etc. I enter in my mind!

Other stuff:
I turn 30 in October, the Marine Corps Marathon is on my birthday. I want to cross the finishline on the day I enter the 30's!
