Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Richmond, VA; Athens, GA; Washington DC; Valparaiso IN; Atlanta GA - I love being in CO Springs bc it's like living in an enormous playground for active people.
When I started running and what got me started:
13 yrs ago, I was a fat kid, my mom ran and she got me into it
What does running mean to me:
it's an integral part of my life, it keeps me sane and of sound mind and body.
Running accomplishments:
2:55 marathon pr, winner of the PTC 50K, multiple boston qualifiers (and one Boston marathon, which I ran with a stress fracture in my tibia); 25 marathons started and finished - goal is 30 by 30.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
the tranquility, being at peace with myself within nature, running with my pup on secluded trails, and of course getting muddy.
Favorite running trail and why:
a small little 2.5 mile trail within the Kennesaw Mtn trail network - it's single track, secluded, and fast
Neatest thing found on a run:
my dog
Running related bathroom stop story:
I stopped to relive myself once and then realized I'd been caught on tape
Running pet peeves:
people who push the pace too early and then make excuses as to why they got dropped.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I'm an Excel junkie
Other hobbies and interests:
playing with m dog, cylcing, swimming, ultimate frisbee
Other stuff:
I want to run a 2:45 marathon, complete 30 marathons by the time I turn 30, run one in all 50 states, and eventually on all continents; and become more involved in ultras
