When I started running and what got me started:
I started running distance events after college as a way to push myself and stay fit. I quit running in 1988 after tearing my hamstring for the third time. I started again in June 2011, completed a couple of small runs and enjoyed myself. As a result I have set my goals on some races in 2012 and after.
What does running mean to me:
Running is a competition with yourself. You get out what you put in. Pushing myself and or achieving a goal gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction.
