Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
lived in San Diego 12 years before moving to Denver last year. That was the first place i called home... I am hoping Denver will be the second place. It truly is a unique city, and I am learning to love it, now that i can get out and play.
When I started running and what got me started:
Started running in March of 2005... moving back to san diego with a lot of things on my mind...
What does running mean to me:
the ultimate internal cleanse, peace, and getting beyond myself.
Running accomplishments:
carlsbad ca marathon 2006. first one... hoping for more.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
the challenge of it.
Favorite running trail and why:
lare fo the bear, it's beautiful always.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
training, but not really, for pikes. Not sure if it is going to be my favorite, or even if i will finish
Best running experience:
when my best friend got in shape and started running and we could run 5 miles on the beach together.... a touching moment.
Worst running experience:
hmmm... lots,, i am not good at staying on top of hydration eat and sleep, so have had my share of rough outings.
Neatest thing found on a run:
my sanity
Running related bathroom stop story:
getting into a porta poddy, then having a 300 man get into the one next to me, they were attached and not on flat ground... His entering launched me off the seat into the wall. yuck!
Running pet peeves:
don't really have any.... we all have our off days where we tick people off.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
i used to be a man
Other hobbies and interests:
piano, live entertainment of any kind really, exploring, reading... and whatever else anyone suggests.
Other stuff:
favorite book, left hand of darkness, leguin.. goals, to live to 100 and learn to love forever.
