What I do for work:
I make money so I can afford my family's hobbies and vacations/race entry fees!

Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
The old: flatlands of the Midwest.
The new: tenacious hills of the West!

When I started running and what got me started:
When: Cross country in Junior High before I discovered that short people could be good at volleyball.
What: A few beers...a few good friends...and menial bets.

What does running mean to me:
That I have something severly wrong with me to want to run this far and this long!

I ran a double and was able to get in a whole day at Disneyworld after each race! Whoo hoo!

What I like about trail/mountain running:
The fact that I can beat mountain bikers up a hill!

Favorite running trail and why:
Trail from Breckenridge to Dillion. Its hilly with altitude..its not too long and there is always a good coffee shop or brewery at the end.

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Working on that...I'll let you know once I have ran em all ;o)

Best running experience:
Finishing a marathon 12 minutes faster than expected while cutting off almost a half hour off of my last marathon :o)

Worst running experience:
NEVER EVER DRINK A ENERGY DRINK AT MILE 8 DURING A HALF MARATHON! Oh...did I mention that I am allergic to caffeine?

Neatest thing found on a run:
A fireman with a water hose trying to help the racers stay cool on a 103 degree day with 98% humidity!

Running related bathroom stop story:
So..I have $20 in the middle of a race in Arizonia with no veggetation or a porta potty in site...do you think those people will let me use their bathroom for $20?

Running pet peeves:
1. Run/Walkers. Pick one or the other and stick with it!
2. Grown adults who wear their race metals out the evening of a race and then continue to wear them several days after the race.
3. All of the people who came ill prepared for the Ascent - and being turned around at the A-FRAME because of them!
4. Someone else's Gu packet stuck to the bottom of my shoe!

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I would rather keep you guessing!

Other hobbies and interests:
Anything that has to do with the outdoors that usually requires expensive equipment.
