What I do for work:
Sold my Restaurant Business in Nov 2006. Working for my previous Business partner at Cartridge World

Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
I'm from South Africa. Was born close to Johannesburg. Live in a little coastel town called Walvisbaai in Namibia for most of my live. Move to Colorado Springs in 1996. I love the mountains.

When I started running and what got me started:
I started running when I was very little. Been running (away);) eversince.

What does running mean to me:
Running is like a drug have to have it. It is very peacefull for me.

Running accomplishments: View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
My running career really hit of in my High school years. Run for the South African Running Team. We could never compete overseas because of Apartheid.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
Peacefullness especially when it is snowing

Favorite running trail and why:
Pikes Peak of course.

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
The Pikes Peak marathon. It offers a challenged which I can't seem to concor.

Best running experience:
Running when it is snowing on the Pikes Peak trails. It is so quite you can only hear your own breathing. It is breathtaking.

Worst running experience:
I always use to run barefoot no matter the terrain in Africa. In this particular race they plowed down thornbuses and the race was over it. My feet was bleeding at the end. Had to get shoes after that and it took day to get all the thorns out of my feet.

Running related bathroom stop story:
Had to go in my pants in a marathon. Their was to many people to make a side stop.

Running pet peeves:
Getting leg cramps.

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
Use to play Rugby in South Africa

Other hobbies and interests:
Love reading going to the downtown bookstore and just curl up on a couch and read. Love cooking and catering for parties. Like to listen to music. Love all kinds of sports. Like the outdoors camping, hiking etc.

Other stuff:
Will like to be in the 1st 10 ladies in the Pikes Peak marathon.;)
