What I do for work:
Work for Time Warner Cable, doing process type things for advanced tech support.
When I started running and what got me started:
Starting running in '04 because of peer pressure! Then took a break to hike mountains frequently, and came back in '09. The PPRR Winter Series was the first real running I had done, and it was a blast.
Running accomplishments:
My list is getting longer! I tied a PR in the 2010 St. Pat's 5k by running a 26:05, only three years ago I was barely under 40. I also finished my first 1/2 marathon last year to qualify for the Ascent in 2010, which is my ultimate goal this year.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Solitude, the endurance it takes to find some really neat stuff. I also enjoy finding new trails and seeing new places that I haven't been before.
Favorite running trail and why:
My favorite right now is the Ute Pass trail, mainly because it is not very heavily populated (except on Sundays!) and there are some great trails that can take me up most of the pass.
Worst running experience:
I missed the cut off of the Barr Trail Mountain Race by about 1 minute last year (09), and that has become a big motivator for me this year. I want to finish it.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Mostly karma related stuff, like quiet, solitude and relaxation.
